How to extend a disk volume when there is another volume in between (Windows)

Problem:
Disk volume can’t be extended because there is a volume in between.

 

Solution:
Delete the volume in between. In this example, “Volume3”

 

Steps:

1. Open “Diskapart.exe”
2. Get the list of Volume

   list volume

   

3. Select a Volume to be deleted (“Volume 3” in this example)

   select volume 3

4. Delete the Volume (“Override” option to delete by force)

   delete volume override

   

5. Select a Volume to be extended (“Volume 1” in this example)

   select volume 1

6. Extend the Volume

   extend
